Bodega Marine Laboratory
As a Ph.D student in the Coastal Oceanography Group, I am interested in understanding how patterns of circulation and mixing link to biogeochemical processes in coastal and estuarine environments. Currently my attention is focused on studying intrusion processes and patterns of upwelled waters in an estuary along the California coast. I am motivated to understand how these intrusions influence hypoxic and acidic conditions. I have a M.S. and B.S. in environmental engineering, and am also interested in STEM education and outreach in a context that brings people closer to the waters they live near.
