COVID-19 Policies for Housing Users

Prior to arriving all users must read through the COVID-19 Safety Plan & Operating Procedures.

All BML & BMR users must complete the Daily Symptom Survey and the Daily Access Log each day that you access to BML.

Testing Requirements

All Housing guests will be required to present a recent negative COVID-19 test result ~2 days before arrival. This is required every week when staying 7+ days.

For the duration of their stay at Housing, UC users (regardless of vaccination status) must send the Housing Manager, Jennifer Sauter, weekly emails with their COVID-19 test results.

Testing for UC Affiliates

All UC employees and students must complete a COVID-19 test once per week (regardless of vaccination status), either on campus or using a "Picture Genetics" mail-in test kit if at BML.

  • Contact Jennifer Sauter with your student or employee ID number so that you may be pre-approved for mail-in test kits to use during the dates you are at BML.
  • Once approved, see the instructions for obtaining a test kit at the top of page “COVID-19 Testing Requirements for All Users”.
  • Plan ahead so you have a test kit delivered in time for your next weekly test.

Non-UC people - Weekly testing is required for all non-UC people entering buildings or BML facilities, or working on the Reserve. Non-UC people who can provide verification of vaccination do not have to test on their own, please contact Al Carranza with your vaccination information. People without verification of vaccination will have to test weekly and show results (for free, local testing sites see the right sidebar on this webpage, under "Where to Get Tested in Sonoma County"). Campus will not cover Picture Genetics testing for non-UC people.

For people arriving from out of state, please contact Jennifer Sauter, as quarantine and isolation rules are changing rapidly.

For more information on testing see top of this page “COVID-19 Testing Requirements for All Users”.
