Growing Through Discovery: 2025 SRJC Internship Experiences
For more than a decade, the SRJC–BML Internship Program has connected Santa Rosa Junior College students with hands-on research experiences at the UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory. Each summer, interns are paired with UC Davis graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and staff mentors whose research aligns with their interests, from marine ecology and environmental microbiology to data science and science communication.
Supported through generous donor funding, the program continues to provide stipends and transportation assistance for participating students. In their blogs, the 2025 interns reflect on what they learned, the challenges they overcame, and how their time at BML shaped their next steps in science.
