Undergraduate Studies At The Bodega Marine Laboratory
Undergraduate study at the Bodega Marine Laboratory brings the ocean into your classroom—and you into the field. Discover summer and fall courses, plus internships that connect you with active research and the marine environment.
Summer Sessions
Summer Sessions 1 and 2 offer undergraduate students a multidisciplinary understanding of coastal systems through hands-on, research and field based courses taught at BML. Students from any college or university can apply for these courses.
Fall Quarter Marine Ecology
Students who enroll in Marine and Coastal Field Ecology (ESP 124) during Fall 2026 will join us at BML from September 14, 2026 – September 22, 2026. While in residence, students will explore the diverse marine habitats along the Northern California coast. This will be followed by on-campus lectures during the Fall quarter.
The EVE Scholars Program
The EVE Scholars Program connects undergraduate students with summer research opportunities in evolution and ecology at the Bodega Marine Laboratory.
