My primary interest is in the mechanisms behind organisms' tolerance and adaptations to changing environments. My research focus is on the assessment of molecular responses to chemical exposures, and links to responses observed at higher levels of biological organization. I utilize fish models towards understanding the mechanism(s) of action of agricultural and urban contaminants. Of particular interest are pesticides and pharmaceuticals and their impact on development, behavior and reproduction; relevant to both human and environmental health.
